The Best 2021 Design Template Websites – Free & Premium Graphic Design Sites

Where to Find All The Best Design Template Deals For Vectors, Fonts, Illustrations, Elements, Templates, T-shirt Designs & More!

Retro Supply Co. Design Template Site

Thankfully 2020 is gone, and the new year is here. If you’re a graphic designer, freelancer, entrepreneur or creative in 2021 you probably need design templates regularly. A library of diverse graphics is crucial in running a successful business. They allow you to keep ideas flowing, lessen your production time, and help you create unique derivatives without designing new concepts from scratch.

Whether you’re in need of illustrations, vectors, textures, scripts, patterns, fonts, logos, t-shirt templates, or even stock photos, there is a design template marketplace for everything. Although you can purchase individual design assets on sites like Adobe Stock and FreePik, Design template packs have become the industry standard in curating assets for a wide variety of business types including Design Agencies, studios, freelance designers, independent entrepreneurs and more.

The best thing about a template pack is the sheer variety of that’s included. Even if a Design template kit has a particular theme, a variety of concepts are typically included. Another benefit of Design templates is that the value is unmatched. Before template sites there weren’t many places you could purchase premium design assets in a package. You were either stuck creating everything from scratch or you had to buy individual licenses for each asset.

Now there are many free and paid design template marketplaces on the web, and it can be hard to figure out which ones are best for what you’re looking for. In effort to save you time and money I’ve compiled a list of the best Design Template Sites on the Web. The list has no particular order but has been outlined with metrics and features such as: Average Template Size, Variety, Price, and Overall Value.

Creative Market

Creative Market: (most used design template site)

Creative Market has been around since 2012. It is a creator driven community, with every design template and creative asset produced by members that are vetted and approved by Creative Market before posting their products.

You can find everything from stock photos, web themes and fonts to graphics, templates, logos and t-shirt designs. We’re going to focus on the template packs, because they are truly what designers and creatives benefit from the most.

Almost every category has template kits of different kinds available. Creative Market’s approved designers have an immense amount of different themed templates for every type of asset you can imagine.

Average Design Template Size:

The average template size on Creative Market is between 500-1000. There are huge packs of 4-7k+ templates on this site. Many of the popular templates are larger, but because there are many smaller design kits (10-100) the rough average is a bit lower than it looks at first glance.

Variety:

The variety of design templates is unmatched on Creative Market. This is largely due to the fact that it is a user-generated platform, meaning the approved designers post the content for sale. If you can dream it up Creative Market is likely to have it.

Price:

The price varies greatly on creative market in part to the sheer number of design templates and in part because of frequent sales from various shops. These sales are where you can capitalize on the best design templates Creative Market has to offer. The best way to do this is to sign up, browse the site, find designers you like and favorite their shop. You’ll want to start a collection, organized by type or theme to favorite specific designs as well. Make sure to allow for emails and notifications because this will be the best and fastest way to find out what is on sale and when.

Overall Value:

Creative Market has great products and premiere designers. The value is really dictated by the shop owners more so than Creative Market. However Creative Market is very specific on their approval guidelines for designers and this allows them to have the best curated network of designer produced design templates. Not every design kit is created alike, and you’ll have to spend a lot of time searching and looking for similar items to make sure you get the best design template for your money.

graphics river templates

Graphic River (classic design template site)

Graphic River is a “product” of Envato’s Envato Market. You might remember in the early days of Themeforest when CodeCanyon still only had a few hundred assets, that Graphic River was barley a thought. Nowadays Graphic River is a powerhouse when it comes to digital graphics and especially design templates.

Graphic River is also a user-generated design marketplace offering thousands of products at great prices. While design template kits aren’t their core product by any means, they deserve a place in the list because of their selection and authority in the space.

Average Design Template Size:

Graphic River is less obvious when it comes to kit size. Many of the items offered may be sold as a design template pack but are actually variations and editable color scheme alternatives in one package. While there are many design templates available for a variety of product type including flyers, logos, presentations, social media posts and more, they seem to have less weight offered in each product. Design templates on Graphic River are as small as 2 and as large as 2000 and up.

Variety:

Variety lacks in comparison to Creative Market when it comes to template kits. Most design packs seem to be focused on UI and business deliverables such as flyers, promotional prints, and presentations. However, there is a great selection on Graphic River and it should not be overlooked when shopping for design template deals.

Price:

The most expensive template kit I found on Graphic River was $500. The average price is between $30-50. Even though this seems low there are some incredible assets on Graphic River and you can find some great design templates for your library with ease.

Overall Value:

As stated before, while the variety is lacking or “focused” there are great deals all the time on Graphic River. If you’re unsure on whether or not a designer has quality graphics, be sure to check the reviews of the designer’s other products for sale to get an inside look “under the hood” before you purchase. A quick way to find the best templates is to search the term “design template” and organize the results by “best sellers” this way you’ll at least have some social proof when it comes to making a buying decision.

Design Template website

Design Template Super Site)

DB has been the godfather of all template sites for a while now. It is one of the only sites that specializes in design template packs specifically. In addition to Free design templates and premium templates DB has everything from fonts, templates, and vectors to craft SVGS and more.

They offer designers who sign up to sell graphics a 75% commission which is much more than a lot of similar sites offer. Designers still have to apply (even though their approval is faster than most, especially Creative Market) which means you’re still getting curated graphics from top designers.

They offer a monthly membership that includes 15% off of all products. The monthly subscription is tiered and is credit-based. Each subscription has a points program that allows you even better deals than non-subscription members will get, not to mention extra freebies.

Average Design Template Size:

In addition to their featured Design Templates, designers offer many packaged options in their “shops.” The average template size is between 20-50 with many options for 300-500 plus item templates available.

Variety:

With over 22,000 graphic assets available on their site, there is no shortage of variety available to you. When it comes to template variety specifically, their “in-house designed” template offerings are heavily focused on craft templates and SVGS. While these templates tend to have consistent themes, the user-generated design templates offer more options. However, the user-generated design templates are mostly textures, illustrations, and simple vectors. While there is nothing wrong with those categories, and there are others, the user-generated design templates don’t have the same perceived quality (mockup covers) that other sites do. This is not to say that the designs aren’t well produced but rather that the feature images could prevent you from purchasing as they are not as attractive as other site’s designers put forth, and lack consistent aesthetics.

Price:

The prices on DB are generally pretty low. They produce many freebies and have a $1 deal category. You can’t get much cheaper than that! There are many templates in the $4-5 range on the site and it is definitely an affordable option for quality assets.

Overall Value:

DB is very affordable. Their variety of purchasing options from free, subscription to single asset orders give you the power to choose what fits in your budget, which is really a buying feature unique to DB no other site has quite as many ways to buy as they do. This can be a bit confusing at first, but from a business perspective it does keep their customers engaged, eagerly awaiting each newly posted deal.

design template graphics

The Hungry Jpeg (great design template site for SVGs)

The Hungry Jpeg is owned by the large media company Inmagine Group founders of 123RF, PIXLR, DESIGNS.AI, StockUnlimited, Craft Bundles, Vectr, and EasyDesign. The Hungry Jpeg is similar to DB in its structure. They have in-house designed templates, $1 deals, freebies, and user-generated content. Given The Inmagine Group’s large portfolio of brands, their offerings are unmatched in the design space. The Hungry Jpeg has premium graphics, fonts, templates and more.

Average Design Template Size:

The in-house templates range between 20 and 4000 assets per pack which is much larger than DB, and has user generated template kits that average between 10-500 assets each. While the user-generated design templates are generally a bit smaller in quantity than in-house templates the quality is consistent throughout.

Variety:

When it comes to design template variety The Hungry Jpeg is heavy on SVGS for Crafters on the user-generated side. The in house design packs are broadly themed with a healthy mix of vectors, patterns and fonts. The $1 deals are always available which is a plus. DB requires you to register and they are scheduled weekly as a facebook event.

Price:

While the template pricing for the in-house designs are average ($29) the user generated design templates are a bit cheaper but are mostly craft-file focused.

Overall Value:

The Hungry Jpeg is packed with value. Their featured in-house design templates are generously created, and value driven. While these packs are the best quality and themed on the site, the user generated content falls a bit short as far as design templates go. The logo and font kits are a bit rudimentary and aren’t the most unique. The $1 deals might be the best offering The Hungry Jpeg has. They’re always available and are incredibly resourceful for designers looking to add to their asset library on the cheap.

daily graphics deal

Deal Jumbo (design template deals, daily)

Deal Jumbo is a great resource for design templates and is honestly a bit underrated. They have an extended license on all packs and the quality is fantastic! They house everything from graphics, mockups, photos, textures, fonts and even freebies! And their prices are great!

Average Design Template Size:

The average template size is as small as 14 to as large as 800 and more, with many template kits in quantities of 200 or more. In comparison to other design template sites, Deal Jumbo maintains a larger supply of design products in excess of 100 than most.

Variety:

Deal Jumbo has done a great job keeping a tremendous selection of quality design templates available on the web. With many different themes, styles and choices there is no shortage of compelling graphics. Deal Jumbo is an in-house shop which helps ensure that the variety and quality is consistent.

Average Price:

Deal Jumbo, as its rightfully named has great deals all the time. The average price is around $15 and freebies are great!

Overall Value:

Deal Jumbo quality is right on-par with Creative Market when it comes to quality. The templates are packed with professionally produced graphics. The extended license is fantastic! The freebies are unbeatable, and the designs are unique. Deal Jumbo consistently delivers the most bang for your buck on all of their products.

Fresh Stock (diverse design template site)

Fresh Stock is an interesting option. Fresh Stock is owned by Design Pickle an unlimited graphic design service known as one of the earliest players in the outsourced unlimited graphic design market. Fresh Stock claims to be “the world’s most diverse stock asset library,” with thousands of “socially inclusive” premium stock vectors. I have not used Fresh Stock, and I am unsure whether their branding has always been this “diverse” or if it is a move to accommodate a changing socio-political climate. Either way their offering seems great, and I will do my best, not having used their service to outline the benefits and features below.

Average Design Template Size:

Because this library contains individual assets and not template packs, they don’t have a clear-cut kit program, however I am sure there are assets containing multiple images, styles and graphics which would suffice using template pack as a definition.

Variety:

From their preview images and the Design Pickle websites (which I’m sure they use the same outsourced designers for asset production) Fresh stock appears to have a pretty good range of stock offerings. Their illustrations are above average in production quality but having not used the service and downloaded any files I cannot speak to the organization and production quality of the assets.

Average Price:

Fresh Stock offers two membership options, a monthly option at $49/month and an annual option at $504 (advertised as a monthly price)

Overall Value:

It’s unclear how many thousands of designs Fresh Stock has available in their library. I do believe given the amount of production from their designers on Design Pickle that the library is likely updated often. They are heavily geared toward vector illustrations and have the best variety of “poster-style” illustrations on the web. If you frequently use backgrounds and patterns, the subscriptions may be worth a try, these types of assets pack the most punch when it comes to the value of their products.

Vector Stock (vector-only design template site)

Vector Stock totes the tagline, “The World’s Premier Vector-Only Image Marketplace.” They offer, as of right now, 21,305,264 Royalty Free Vector Images, which makes it the largest (to my knowledge) resource for vector designs on the web. 10,000 + vectors are claimed to be added daily, which is truly unbelievable! That’s a lot of graphics to sift through. Let’s take a closer look at the value of their product.

Average Design Template Size:

While Vector Stock doesn’t specifically offer “design template packs,” many of their vectors are a multitude of files with multiple images, styles and themes of singular or combined design assets. The range is incredibly varied because of this, but overall it seems like they try to add as much as they can to a single file which gives the end-user incredible value.

Variety:

The variety on Vector Stock is honestly unmatched. If you sign up for a subscription, I’d suggest using it when you know what you’re looking for, it’s very easy to waste a ton of time on here looking for the “best” version of a particular asset or theme.

Average Price:

Vector stock has multiple subscription options including, a free plan (access to almost 400,000 free vectors), three monthly image plans, credit packs (similar to dreamstime) and a pay-per-image plan. I would suggest purchasing a monthly subscription plan based on the number of average downloads you need. The download tier is as follows, 60 images – $49/month, 120 images – $89/month, and 240 images – $166/month.

Overall Value:

For pricing options, the best value is definitely the $166/month if you use a lot of assets. As far as quality goes, Vector Stock has the biggest library on the web and also some of the best quality and easy-to-use files, produced by professionals, daily.

Retro Supply (the best vintage design template site)

Retro Supply is one of my favorites on the list. I was an early buyer of Dustin Lee’s work, and I think he is one of the premier designers of this era, especially when it comes to retro inspired themes. Retro Supply, as the name suggests is packed to the brim with amazing vintage and retro (if you differentiate between the two) graphics. Retro Supply Co. Offers everything from Procreate brushes and packs, to textures, graphics, clipart, actions and brushes for Affinity, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and is sold in kits and individually.

Average Design Template Size:

The average template size for Brushes is around 350, while the average template size for clipart is 30. Every asset Dustin has on the site is a “design template pack” of sorts and provides you with everything your expecting plus more!

Variety:

If you’re looking for theme variety this might not be, you’re shop, but if you’re looking for style variety within the retro and vintage theme then you’ve come to the best place. Retro Supply is the premier destination for retro and vintage design lovers. You will not be disappointed with a single product Dustin sells or promotes.

Average Price:

The average price on Retro supply from templates to fonts is around $15 with most offerings between $9 and $19.

Overall Value:

It’s hard to really put a price to the value of the products Retro Supply offers. Every design template and every graphic kit is of the highest quality and always worth more than what you’ll pay to have it in your arsenal.

The Vector Lab (design template site for t-shirts)

The Vector Lab is used by professionals at some of the world’s biggest brands including, Nike, Disney, Google, Hurley, and Zappos. The Vector Lab Specializes in “Badge Style” graphics for T-shirts and logos. While they don’t have the largest selection of graphics, (614 Templates, 250 Fonts, Hundreds of Textures, and Mockup Templates) the quality is top-notch! The Vector Lab has a retro/vintage aesthetic that will bring any project to life. The Vector Lab offers their packs in source files for Adobe, Affinity and CorelDraw (one of the only design template sites to do this).

Average Design Template Size:

The average template size is in the hundreds and is the most diverse offering around, combining textures, templates, mockups graphics, automations, courses, and shapes into a single package.

Variety:

The variety of source file types is pretty much exclusive to The Vector Lab, no one else on the web is offering the ability to download a single kit with different formats with multiple-seat licensing. The variety of themes and styles within the templates is great too! Although they really lean towards a vintage theme, the graphics are easily modifiable to fit a modern aesthetic if you wish to do so.

Average Price:

The average price of the design templates is $76.

Overall Value:

The value of these templates reaches far beyond just adding graphics to your library. The mockups, actions, and courses that are included are second to none. I suggest purchasing the “Big 6 T-Shirt pack” as it’s the best T-shirt Design template value on the web.

Designious (design template site for Print-On-Demand users)

Designious is a bit unique to the rest of this list, as they really focus on royalty free Print-On-Demand graphics. This is great for entrepreneurs that run POD shops on Shopify using Printful, printify, RedBubble or any other POD supplier or marketplace. They offer everything from templates, t-shirt designs, vector art, brushes, and even freebies!

Average Design Template Size:

The average template size varies from a few to hundreds. Designious has a new category called “Zilla” which offers “super premium packs” each package including hundreds of graphics.

Variety:

The variety on Designious is fantastic. They aren’t pinned to a specific theme, and they are heavily illustration inspired so they have some really unique designs that are easy to modify and work with.

Average Price:

Because Designious is a membership based site, there is not individually priced templates. The subscription is currently $24/month or $97/year

Overall Value:

Designious is the best value for POD entrepreneurs needing to increase their inventory of products on a consistent basis. Their license allows you to do a lot and that is where they rest their hat, and rightfully so.

design shock graphics

DesignShock (design template subscription site)

DesignShock is a subsidiary of By People, also part of the Shock Family including Icon Shock and has a massive library of graphics for everything you can possibly image including, fonts, flyers, UI kits, GUI, mockups, logos and more. DesignShock is a one-time fee subscription-based site with a multitude of offerings.

Average Design Template Size:

The average template size varies greatly depending on the type of asset, but generally the falls between 50 and 500.

Variety:

Because Design Shock doesn’t focus on a single type of graphic, nor style or theme, they have an impressive variety of graphics for almost anything you can think of. Everything is in vector format and is ready-to-use.

Average Price:

Design Shock’s pricing is unique. They offer three tiers of “subscriptions,” Option 1: designpacks (thousands of vector elements) for $39, Option 2: designpacks + printing templates for $69 and Option 3: Full Shock which includes Option 1, Option 2 and All Icon packs, WPThemeGenerator and lifetime updates for either $129 one-time or $14/month with lifetime updates.

Overall Value:

While the quality isn’t quite up to par with some of the other sites on this list, you will gain access to a huge library of vectors for a reasonable price with a liberal license.

graphics designs

Design Cuts (design template site for freebies and more)

Design Cuts is a goldmine for textures, print assets and drawing tools. While they lean heavy on print style applications both physical and digital mediums, they do have a generous library of templates for logos, flyers, social media, patterns and more.

Average Design Template Size:

While their templates include packaged assets, they offer a featured “mega” pack which currently includes 21 different kits for only $29.

Variety:

As mentioned before Design Cuts focuses on textures, brushes and print styled templates while also maintaining a healthy dose of miscellaneous design templates for flyers, logos, web elements, patterns and more. They have a huge selection and a great variety of different products for your projects.

Average Price:

Design Cuts’ products average around $20 each, and they have a large supply of freebies and deals that are consistently being updated.

Overall Value:

Design Cuts is a great option for supplementing your asset library with fresh designs, tools and graphics. While I wish they were a subscription-based model, they have average prices. The best value is in their featured deals and freebies.

design template graphics

InkyDeals (huge design template daily deal site)

InkyDeals is a design template marketplace that has the largest selection of high-volume design templates on the internet. Many of their products include 2000+ assets in each package.

Average Design Template Size:

HUGE!. Many of their templates include over 2000 assets, and there are some that are upwards of 10,000. InkyDeals consistently offers the largest template kits available and the quality is great too!

Variety:

InkyDeals sells more than just graphics. They have software, templates, fonts, actions and even stock photos. They have many different themes and styles to choose from and are always adding more to their library.

Average Price:

The pricing is average, with most templates coming in around $20. However, their packs are not like most. The design template kits are much larger than other sites can offer and for the money you just can’t beat it.

Overall Value:

InkyDeals is one of those sites you have to check frequently, while they aren’t the most trendy, they do have some great deals. I use InkyDeals to supplement for parts of my library I like to bulk up on like textures, fonts and patterns without spending too much.

Vectorian (vintage design template site)

Vectorian is a beautiful site with stunning graphics. They offer “the world’s biggest library of vintage graphics,” and have the most elegant design templates around.

Average Design Template Size:

Vectorian’s “smaller” template packs average out around 430 assets, but they have 3 massive design pack offerings that include thousands of graphics in each, making it hard to quantify just how much your getting out of each pack.

Variety:

Vectorian is a themed site, so if you’re not looking for vintage graphics don’t bother, but you’ll be surprised at just how versatile the designs are in other styles.

Average Price:

The average price for Vectorian’s design templates is about $50. While their slightly higher than the average “pack” price, they’re worth it!

Overall Value:

Vectorian is on the same level of quality as Retro Supply Co and is a premium product at a reasonable price. Honestly I think their templates could sell for much more, without a drop in the number of purchases. You won’t be disappointed with their products and if you’re curious about the quality or style download their free pack.

graphics website

GraphicsFuel (more than a design template site)

Graphics Fuel isn’t really a traditional design template site, but many of their graphics contain multiple design assets, and their offering is a bit different than others on the list, so I added them to pass along the value of their offering if you haven’t heard of them already. Graphics Fuel has pretty much every type of design asset you can think of from templates, patterns, UI kits, vectors, websites, mockups, icons, brushes, fonts and more.

Average Design Template Size:

Most of GraphicsFuel’s “packs” are in the average quantity of 20 assets. While there are products with 100+ or more assets, the majority are on the lower end for quantity.

Variety:

The variety is great on this site. They lean a bit more towards web design in their vectors and categories, but there are some real gems on this site, you just have to dig a bit.

Average Price:

I’m not sure whether it’s the template size that keeps the price low, or the cost of production but the average price falls between $4 and $10 a product, which is well below the average design kit price. They offer a premium membership for $10/month which includes premium assets and weekly perks.

Overall Value:

Graphics Fuel is not only a great place to buy design assets, but they have a lot of great articles and resources for designers. I personally use GraphicsFuel for UI and GUI vectors more than anything else, it’s definitely worth checking out!

MightyDeals (daily deal site for design templates)

I love MightyDeals. It’s the design template site you go to when you have a project with a limited budget or you want to double your library size on the cheap.

Average Design Template Size:

Mighty Deals houses a lot of products, so there is quite a range of quantity when it comes to design templates. I’ve seen packs as low as 10-15 and as high as 2000+ on Mighty Deals.

Variety:

Mighty Deals has a healthy variety of styles, categories and themes. They offer everything from vectors, fonts, ebooks, courses, plugins, software, themes, icons and more!

Average Price:

There are many, many products on Mighty Deals for less than $9. The average template price is around $10 and they have a ton of free offerings.

Overall Value:

Mighty Deals consistently has one of the best value offerings on the internet when it comes to design assets. They are always updating their inventory and sell a large variety of products.

ByPeople

By People is a community driven community of designers that house a robust selection of design assets curated in lists that contain freebies and paid offerings. From vectors, to fonts, web tools, and icons, to plugins, print templates, software and more, ByPeople has something for everyone, whether you’re a graphic designer, artist or web developer.

Average Design Template Size:

The average template size is pretty big. They have many offerings that are in the tens of thousands of assets. Many are in the 300-500 range. This is largely due to the variety of offerings they have.

Variety:

ByPeople has a diverse range of categories and their templates are no exception. From infographics to icons, T-shirt graphics to wordpress themes. There is no shortage of variety available on the site.

Average Price:

ByPeople offers their assets at individual prices and through a premium membership. The individual asset prices range from $20-50 and the membership has three tiers: 6 months for $49, 1 Year for $99 and lifetime membership for $149.

Overall Value:

The overall value is hard to pin down, as ByPeople is not just a design asset site, it really is a true resource site offering an evergreen landing page that links almost everywhere design -related on the web. Bottom line, ByPeople has a tremendous offering with tremendous value!

Design Template site for t-shirt packs)

This one is a house favorite. They have the largest selection of editable T-shirt designs on the web. They are constantly adding new templates and are the experts when it comes to t-shirt design.

Average Design Template Size:

The average template size is 50 with a few bundles that have 1000 plus t-shirt designs.

Variety:

They do a great job at offering designs for every occasion, theme or style you can think of. They have everything from superhero designs to corona virus designs! No joke!

Average Price:

The average template price is $14 and they offer a tiered subscription model as well. 3-Months for $99, 1-Year for $297 or lifetime for $396.

Overall Value:

This site is hands down the best t-shirt design asset site on the web and for good reason. The graphics are professionally designed, easy-to-use and the prices are great. The Lifetime membership is the best value overall, and I wouldn’t suggest purchasing any other option unless you’re on a tight budget.
